Event COVID-19 Testing Regulations

Indoor Events
Indoor events with less than 1000 attendees do not require vaccinations or tests unless the venue is located in the City of Los Angeles. If your event has more than 1000 guests, you must require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test taken in the past 72 hours.

EWDD requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for patron entry of certain businesses in Los Angeles. Those businesses include banquet halls, hotel ballrooms, live performance venues, sports arenas, party venues, convention centers, exhibition halls, and more!
Outdoor Events
Venues located within the City of LA and have between 5,000 to 9,999 guests must require proof of vaccination or a negative test taken in the past 72 hours. Events with more than 10,000 attendees must require proof of full vaccination or a negative test taken in the past 72 hours.

Mobile COVID Testing offers two types of tests: PCR and rapid antigen. PCR tests offer results within 24 hours, depending on our team’s availability. Rapid antigen tests are best suited for events because they give results in 15 minutes.

We don’t need a lot of space. Many clients offer us a small corner of a room or allow us to set up outside in the parking lot or next to the entrance. Our team can also design a walk-through or drive-through testing line for your guests. Either way, our team doesn’t need a lot of space for your on-site testing.
How much does COVID testing for events cost?
On-site testing for your guests is free through insurance and the Affordable Care Act. The only thing you pay is a setup fee, which we can provide once we know more details of your event.
